Friday, September 25: Dolly Day!

YCSD is partnering with the United Way to celebrate Dolly Day this Friday, September 25. There are several ways to participate and celebrate Dolly Parton's legacy and commitment to literacy:

🎀Pink Out – Scholars and staff wear pink in honor of Dolly.

📚Stop, Drop & Read at 2:00 PM – They are encouraging schools across the Valley to stop what they are doing at 2:00 PM and spend some time reading. It can be as simple as having students grab a book and read in their classrooms.

🎤Dolly Banner – classrooms can create a Dolly-themed banner for students to sign as a way to celebrate and commemorate Dolly’s impact on literacy. United Way would love to display these throughout the community.
